HomeStars.com is a Toronto based online community of homeowners and home improvement companies throughout Canada and the US.  The premise is simple enough, homeowners write reviews b ased on their home improvement experiences – both good and bad.

It’s a service I have used prior to meeting Co-Founder and CEO Nancy Peterson and President Brian Sharwood at this years Dwyer Group Franchisee Conference in Quebec City.  So when Brian asked Search Engine People if we were interested in sponsoring their ‘Best Home Improvement Companies in Toronto’ Awards dinner, we jumped at the chance!

Toronto Companies make the Best Of list based on the ratings and reviews from the homeowners that hired them in that year. The Best of Awards recognized excellence in over 5o different categories within home improvement, and repair. There were almost 300 people at the Donalda Golf & Country Club and 4 members of the Search Engine People team attended the event and offered free website analysis to local winners.

What many people find surprising about Search Engine People is that we have a dedicated Local Business channel and that many of our clients are also HomeStars clients.  We help dozens of plumbers, movers, alarm companies, furniture retailers, hardware stores, kitchen cabinet manufacturers and more rank well on Google for their core keywords.
